Licensing Requirements:
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited program required (or facility-approved equivalent).
• CPR/BLS certification may be required depending on placement.
• Must meet background, drug screening, and immunization requirements based on facility guidelines.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures to collect blood samples.
Properly label, handle, and transport specimens in accordance with regulatory and facility protocols.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Provide compassionate care and reassurance to patients during blood collection.
Document procedures and update patient records accurately.
Follow infection control protocols and PPE guidelines at all times.

Clinics & outpatient laboratories
Long-term care facilities
Hospitals & urgent care centers
Mobile testing and home health services
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a certified phlebotomy training program.
Active Phlebotomy Certification (CPT or equivalent) preferred.
6+ months of experience in a clinical setting strongly preferred.
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
Ability to work independently and adapt to various facility workflows.
