About the Role

MFSC is actively building its Independent Labor Marketplace - a roster of skilled, reliable contractors available for project-based, temporary, and flexible work assignments across a variety of industries and skill areas.

As an Independent Labor Marketplace Contractor, you maintain full control over your schedule and the assignments you accept. MFSC connects you with client businesses that need your skills, handles the coordination, and ensures you are supported throughout each engagement.

What will you do?
- Accept project-based and temporary work assignments coordinated through MFSC
-Report to assignment sites or work remotely as specified per engagement
- Represent yourself and MFSC professionally in every client interaction
- Complete assigned tasks to the standard and timeline outlined for each project
- Communicate availability, updates, and any issues promptly to your MFSC Talent Acquisition Specialist
- Maintain the skills, certifications, and equipment relevant to your area of work
- Provide feedback on assignments to help MFSC improve the contractor experience

Requirements

Requirement vary by assignment type. General requirements for all Independent Labor Marketplace Contractors include:

  • Demonstrated skill, experience, or training relevant to the type of work you are seeking

  • Reliable transportation or ability to reach assignment locations within the service area

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with MFSC coordinators and client contacts

  • Availability to accept and fulfill assignments within agreed-upon timeframes

  • A professional, dependable, and safety conscious work ethic

  • Valid government-issued identification and eligibility to work in the United States

  • Ability to pass a background screening or drug screening as required per assignment (varies by client)

Some assignments may require specific certifications, physical capabilities, tools, or equipment. These will be clearly communicated at the time of assignment offer.


Preferred Qualifications (NOT REQUIRED)

  • Prior experience in one or more of the assignment categories listed above

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (for labor and trades assignments)

  • Relevant industry credentials

  • Experience working in temporary, contract, or project-based environments

  • Strong track record of reliability, punctuality, and professional conduct

  • Bilingual communication skills (a plus in many client environments)
